Remember Covid-19?
Surviving the war in Ukraine overtook pandemic fears a long time ago, but the Kyiv Post promoted stay-at-home tourism in 2020, given the Covid-19 travel restrictions.
Kyiv Post chief editor Brian Bonnerβs introduction to the May 20, 2020 edition:
We must stay in the country we're in for at least part of the summer, with international travel looking dicey at best. So we might as well make the best of the situation. That's the spirit behind the launch of our "Explore Ukraine" series. We'll travel the country and take tips from readers on places they think others should see. All in all, Ukraine is a very beautiful place to be.
