The 2021 US-German betrayal that triggered Russia's full-scale invasion
Ukraine became a sitting duck after the U.S. dropped sanctions, allowing Germany to proceed with the Nord Stream 2 pipeline -- allowing Russia to bypass Ukraine. It's great it's blown up today.

"Betrayal" is the only word to describe the deal cooked up between the US and Germany behind the backs of Ukraine and everyone else on Nord Stream 2. The Russian-Germany pipeline will be built after the US drops sanctions, while Ukraine will not receive real guarantees on the security or energy front.
