A sign of hard times to come: Little Marco Rubio was supposed to be the reassuring one. But now Rubio has succumbed to Trump's view: Ukraine is a burden that can be shed.
It was clear to anyone with half a brain that Little Marco was lying in his speech. If there is a choice between Zelensky and Rubio / any member of the Orange Turd regime, of course Zelensky is always the one to be believed and trusted
My heart breaks for Ukraine. What the US regime is doing is unconscionable and immoral. I am so very, very sorry that the US elected this convicted felon, con man, and grifter. It is a tragedy for Ukraine and for the world.
I’m always wanting to see clearly who I’m dealing with and I believe this administration shows the world that they are photo shopped with every picture they give us of their thoughts. They give themselves away every time they have a chance. However until you actually see their alignment, you think you have to play their games. Ukraine doesn’t have to. They can clearly decide their own destiny without the photo op gang. Rubio would have been a nice placement within the cabinet but he has obviously been beat in to submission to the “Trump axis” of quick solutions. If he were the story, he would be leaving his position and distance himself. Ukraine and the coalition Zelensky has put together are where the war solutions are going to come from. They have changed what war is. They show an intelligence that America has yet to find. Need the US? I think they’ve outgrown them….
Trump gave rubio shoes, several sizes too big, and rubio wore them in public. The self-abasement, and self-humiliation was there to be seen. A massive disappointment to the world, and deep down to himself.
What can those of us do when our government is so obviously wrong? As an individual I can donate to Ukrainian charities and organizations to help support the soldiers and people. But that’s a very little drop that I can afford. I work to elect pro Ukrainian politicians. But what more can I do?

Rubio is not the story. He is the signal.
What you are watching is not a man changing his mind. It is a system closing.
Closed systems behave in predictable ways:
They do not listen.
They do not adapt.
They translate reality until it fits their internal logic.
Trumpism does not need true believers.
It only needs alignment.
Rubio hasn’t “turned.” He has converged.
And convergence tells you something important:
Ukraine was never losing support because of battlefield outcomes.
It is losing priority because it does not fit the system’s incentives.
Ukraine requires endurance — time, production, alliances, guarantees.
Trump’s system requires resolution — speed, optics, closure.
Those two logics cannot coexist.
So the system resolves the contradiction the only way it can:
by redefining Ukraine from strategic partner to negotiation problem.
That is what Rubio is doing.
Not freelancing. Not drifting. Translating.
And once that translation is complete, policy follows.
But here is the part that matters:
Wars like this are not decided inside a White House.
They are decided in production lines, logistics chains, energy flows, and alliances that outlast political cycles.
The U.S. system may contract.
The Western system has not.
Europe is rearming.
The Gulf is entering the defence-industrial space.
Ukraine is exporting warfare itself.
That is not what losing looks like.
It is what system displacement looks like.
And when one system closes, another one expands.
Ukraine is not losing its last friend.
It is forcing the map of who its real friends are to redraw itself — in real time.
Rubio IS the story, because with him gone over to the dark side, there is nobody left....

It’s not Ukraine that has to fear, it is the USA. They have to live under a fashist regime and get plundered by the tech oligarchs.
And the suckers dismantle the state faster than Ruzzia could destroy Ukraine.
Good to hear that Rubio came on to the side of realism.
The facts are that the war is lost, and even if it wasn’t, the price is too high for the benefits.
Once Ukraine is defeated, it’s time to totally rewrite security architecture in Europe. Hopefully with NATO left by the wayside.
