I called the war in 2008 and almost 90% of Ukrainians laughed at me and Americans in state said Russia was a strategic ally with some areas of disagreement. Lots of blame to go around. Selling old AKs and RPGs was not the big problem though. Governments had to have smelled this coming and done something to aid the state. The invasion of 2014 began in 2006, it was obvious that Russia was openly operating inside Ukraine then. We America had to have seen the money being poured into Ukraine by Russia and after Georgia taken precautions.
