It was awesome reading the sum of Bruce’s comments. He was dead on and didn’t mince words. trump is not capable of recognizing that Springsteen has an enormous devoted following, supported by integrity and credibility, that could result in Mr crypto corruption paying a hefty price if he decides to pursue a confrontation.

MAGA and Secret Service apparently don’t like β€œ8647”. So now that will be appended to all my posts and comments.

8647 !

If he goes after Springsteen he’ll learn what the opposition feels like. Even Trumpers love Bruce.

That's what I thought (from a distance). I was surprised at first, but…. This could very well be an interesting one.

I suspect that Grumpy is off target when he interprets Trump's remark, "We'll see how well it goes for him..." as a threat. Has Springsteen damaged his brand? We'll see...

Grumpy recites a talking point about Ukraine's "fweeedom" in 2014, when far-right fascist goons put the Maidan crowd over the top in Kyiv and then started stomping out resistance to the coup throughout the country, precipitating the Crimea and Donvass breakaways. A critical element of the Maidan Revolution was the notorious fascist C-14 gang, as discussed in this article:

Thanks Michael for your text. Bruce is a real artist and star, and Trump is unfortunately like a bull in a china shop. Trump's post on Twitter is simply Spanish shame. It is obvious that Trump's behavior is shameful.

I think if Trump goes after Springsteen it will galvanise a lot of people. Trump would be making huge mistake.

As a musician who has lived in Ukraine for 11 years (Ukrainian wife) and also have many Bruce Springsteen albums in my collection from Greetings from Asbury Park to Born in the USA and onwards you can't get any more American than Mr Springsteen. He embodies the spirit and ethos of America, good and bad, beautiful and ugly, in his lyrics. Let's just take one obvious example, "Born in the USA", superficially seems like a very patriotic song (and it is used as such an anthem because of the great catchy chorus, pay attention to the verses!) but it has the dark undertones of the draft and mistreatment of returning Vietnam Veterans, but it's not an anti-American song. It is a patriotic song that tells some uncomfortable truths. But it is in no way anti-American (It was a pro-Vietnam Vet song, it advocated for them)! These subtleties are lost on a draft dodging, talentless moron like DJT, that can't even play a musical instrument, like I or Mr Springsteen can. I will always love Mr Springsteen as one of the most creative American writers, performers and musical "poets of all things American" good and bad (up there with Bob Dylan et. al.). An American cultural truth teller, not one of the most vindictive prolific liars on the planet like DJT or VVP.

I thought there would be a threat lurking there. Trump should not be allowed back in the country.

For a guy that gives us ample examples of there being no botton to his autocracy, why do we continue to be shocked and dismayed at his antics? History always repeats itself. Like groundhog day, only it happens every 40-80 years apart, making important phrases like 'never again look totally foolish. Our species is THE T-virus. T for trump, terrible, tiny (you figure it out), tyranical and yes, temporary.

The bad-uns usually find karma standing in the breach. Just when you least expect it.

You know, trump et al dragging us back to 'the good old days' wasn't good for anyone. Asbestos and lead paint, lead pipes, few vaccines, and you could die from having a btoken leg. We all know the dangers of lead. Ask any school child in America. Ask Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Yea, that stuff will kill ya.

Trump is like a virus, his MAGA disciples are a classic example of how he infects people. e.g. Most MAGA call anything they don't like "socialism" but they are too stupid to realise they are communist like cult of personality worship of their dear leader. Much like Stalin or Mao back in the day, or Kim Jong-Un in North Korea. At least under communism, people were brainwashed by terror and never ending lies and propaganda (they were not free to think otherwise), but MAGA cultists choose to be brainwashed by Trump's never ending lies and BS (but they have the freedom to reject it, but choose not to), it's like an infection or Trump mind virus! Crazy.

Anyway, dissing "The Boss" is not a good thing, as some other commenters have pointed out, even MAGA are fans of The Boss, BUT, I have a sneaking suspicion that the MAGA cult of personality worship of Trump may override their love of Mr Springsteen and they'll boycott him. Let's see how it pans out. I hope I am wrong about that and the Boss wins this one!
